Guided tours through Meersburg castle
On request, we offer the opportunity to learn more about the history of the castle during a booked guided tour. During this guided tour you will learn a lot about life in the Middle Ages and the various personalities who shaped the history and development of the castle. The tour lasts 1,5 to 2 hours. It leads through the entire castle museum.
The guided tour about Annette von Droste-Hülshoff gives an insight into the life of the famous German poetess and her creative years at the castle. After an introduction to the life of the poetess you will explore private rooms, which cannot be seen during the independent tour, and enjoy the romantic view from the Dagobertsturm. Duration: approximately 2 hours, this tour is only available in German.

For special occasions and on request, the tour can begin with a champagne reception. Feel free to contact us.
External tours inside the castle are not permitted.
Visiting Meersburg castle with school groups
With our castle quiz, students can explore the Meersburg in a playful way. The quiz is available in the age groups from 9 to 10 years and 11 to 13 years. It is only available in German – a good way to learn the language. Accompanying teachers will naturally receive an answer sheet. The questionnaires are handed out on a clipboard with a pencil – you don’t have to bring anything with you. Please contact us before your visit and reserve the quiz sheets so that we can prepare enough clipboards for you and your class. The quiz is available for a surcharge of 0,20€ per copy.
Answering the quiz questions in small teams that explore the castle independently, will be a lot of fun for your students. Of course, you can also go through the castle museum together as a class.
