The Café in the Castle

The Café

You will find our café in the magnificent baroque hall, which was used by the prince-bishops of Constance for representation purposes. On café’s terrace, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the lake, the mountains and the castle. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city you can enjoy delicious cakes and snacks or an aperitif in the sunshine.

Our café can also be visited without an admission ticket for the castle museum: Get a mini-ticket for 2€ at the cash desk in front of the castle and this will be credited back to you in the café. The mini-ticket is only valid for the short walk to the castle café and not for the rest of the castle.

In the garden at the “Marienbrunnen” you will find our castle tavern – a true oasis of tranquillity. During good weather you can treat yourself to a break by the baroque fountain.

In addition to a rich snack menu, pancakes in many variations are the specialty of the house – whether sweet or salty, there is something for everyone here. We receive our cakes and tarts from bakers and confectioners from Meersburg and the region around it.

The Café during winter time

During Christmas season our café offers a special Christmas menu. Next to the beautiful Christmas tree in the baroque hall you can enjoy Christmas fair treats like mulled wine, hot Aperol, Germknödel or Schupfnudeln with a wonderful view over wintry Lake Constance.
